Travel

Although I have done my best to provide all the information about my property, I appreciate that you need to travel here and see for yourself. I recommend at least four days, two for traveling and two full days to view the house and explore the area.

Getting here

Cheap flights are available to both Lisbon and Oporto (Porto). Porto is slightly nearer although there are motorway and high speed rail links from both cities to Coimbra. Below are links to some airline websites.

Car Hire

Due to the location of my property I highly recommend that you arrange a hire car for the duration of your visit. A car can be collected from the airport or from Coimbra. I can give you directions on getting here from Lisbon or Porto and I can meet you in Coimbra and take you the remainder of the way. However, if you do not wish to drive, I will happily collect you from Coimbra railway station and bring you to this region (about 40 minute drive). I can then show you around.

From experience I have found that booking your hire car from the U.K. before you leave is the cheapest option. Below are links to some hire company websites.

Train

There are fast, comfortable train links to Coimbra B railway station from both Lisbon and Porto. You can now book your train tickets online at www.cp.pt. From Lisbon take the train from Oriente station, from Porto Campanha. Allow time for luggage and customs clearance at the airport and a 10 minute taxi ride in Lisbon, 30 minutes in Porto. The quickest trains are the Alfa Pendular (AP) and the Inter Cidade (IC). I can collect you from Coimbra B station.

It stands in one of the most privileged locations in the region, with gorgeous views and around an acre of stunning gardens, bordered along c. 120 mtrs by a series of cascades. As well as the spring-fed, solar-heated pool, there are barbecue, satellite TV, heating in every room, fully equipped fitted kitchen.

450 euros per week low season, 840 high season. Full refund of up to a week’s rental if you buy my property! Short breaks possible by negotiation. Min. stay 3 nights.

Also a brand new one-bedroom cottage may be rented jointly with or separately from the above accommodation, from which it stands about 35 metres.

330 euros per week all-inclusive, all-year-round, if rented separately; 225 euros if rented together with the 2 bed cottage.

During your stay

Once you have settled into your accommodation I am on hand to personally show you around. When you have seen the property I then leave you alone to explore the area independently. I live in this area so if you need any further information or would like to meet us again, I am only a phone call away.

At the end of your stay I can escort you back to Coimbra and direct you safely back to the airport.

Making a purchase

If you decide to buy our property, I can help you through the process of obtaining the necessary tax numbers and so on.
